Tea Time Thoughts - June 2, 2011

Proverbs 31:25 - She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come".

This Proverb is a big deal. As I meditated and pondered what I could take from that Proverb today two things came to mind. The first thing I thought about was the whole idea of strength and honor being her clothing. One thing we all understand is that putting on clothing must be intentional. Your clothes don't jump on your body. You have to CHOOSE to intentionally put on clothing. I started to think and examine myself. Am I intentional about being a woman of strength and honor? My clothing, conversations, likes, dislikes, hobbies; do they all say I am a women of strength and honor? Am I intentional in being strong and honorable in those areas. Just like I put my clothes on in the morning I should intentionally put on strength and honor. The second thought was this virtuous women had a strong sense of security. Many people fear, worry, and rather just not think about the days to come. This women can laugh at the days to come. I begin to think about how God promises His plans for us are for our good. Do I believe that? Do I trust that? I believe the Proverbs are great for self-examination.  How can you line yourself up with this scripture today?
